About the role
Nouvells is seeking a Legal Evaluation Specialist to bring statutory rigor, precise legal analysis, and analytical depth to our legal workflow evaluation pipelines. In this role, you will design, audit, and refine high difficulty legal scenarios, test cases, and evaluation datasets. You will craft complex legal queries, evaluate domain specific automated outputs for reasoning flaws, and verify analysis against primary authorities. No prior technology or AI background is required we are looking for exceptional legal research skills, analytical clarity, and meticulous attention to detail.
Key responsibilities
- Develop original, complex legal test cases and question-and-answer sets covering statutory interpretation, precedent, case law, and procedural doctrines.
- Conduct thorough legal research using primary statutes, court opinions, and regulatory texts, backing all findings with precise citations and thorough documentation.
- Stress test and evaluate automated or peer generated legal responses to identify logical fallacies, subtle inaccuracies, or missed precedents.
- Refine evaluation criteria based on reviewer feedback to maintain high institutional quality standards and project consistency.
