About the role
Nouvells is looking for Data Engineers who can build and maintain the infrastructure required to collect, transform, store, and deliver reliable data. You'll help organizations turn fragmented data sources into dependable, accessible data systems. You'll work with databases, pipelines, data warehouses, cloud infrastructure, and transformation processes to ensure that high-quality data reaches the people and systems that need it.
As our Data Engineer, you will take complete ownership of Nouvell’s end to end data architecture. Stepping into a greenfield environment, you will define the foundational data stack building resilient ingestion pipelines for both real-time streaming events and massive batch datasets. You will collaborate closely with MLOps engineers, backend platform teams, and the AI Evaluation team to ensure our AI models, vector stores, and analytics engines receive clean, reliable, and low-latency data streams with strict schema enforcement and zero downtime.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement a modern lakehouse architecture (e.g., Apache Iceberg, Delta Lake, or ClickHouse) capable of scaling with Nouvell's rapid growth.
- Write clean, reproducible Infrastructure as Code (IaC) via Terraform to provision data stores, compute clusters, and access policies on cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP).
- Build and maintain resilient, fault-tolerant streaming pipelines using Apache Kafka, Redpanda, or Flink to ingest high-frequency product telemetry and user interactions.
- Implement strict data contracts and schema registries (Avro, Protobuf) across product microservices to prevent upstream changes from breaking downstream systems.
Qualifications
- B.Sc in computer Science or any related field
